The NJ Medicaid ACO Demonstration - 2018 Update
The NJ Medicaid ACO Demonstration - 2018 Update
Medicaid coverage continues to face challenges nationally amidst funding uncertainties, and program changes advanced by the Trump administration. At the same time, increased opportunities continue to be advanced for value based solutions in serving the Medicaid population.

In 2011, New Jersey enacted legislation to establish the Medicaid Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Demonstration Project, with the three year demonstration project beginning July 1, 2015. The state certified three community coalitions to participate as ACOs in the Demonstration. These ACOs have accountability for spending, quality, and care coordination for Medicaid beneficiaries in their designated geographic areas. Under the demonstration, shared savings arrangements are required for the Medicaid fee for service population served by the ACOs, and voluntary for Medicaid MCO populations served by the ACOs.

As part of a state-mandated evaluation, the Rutgers University Center for State Health Policy (CSHP) has been conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses of project activities. This webinar will review evaluation findings to date and draw implications for other state Medicaid programs.

Please join us Wednesday, April 11th, 2018 at 1 PM Eastern as MedStar Health Research Institute's Derek DeLia, PhD presents key findings, insights and implications.
