John League
Managing director, Digital health research at Advisory Board
John leads research on digital health and technology at Advisory Board. His team differentiates between digital reality and hype and investigates the competitive impact of technology on healthcare. He is responsible for developing Advisory Board's perspective on all things digital, including telehealth, artificial intelligence, digital inequity, and data.
In a previous role at Advisory Board, John led research on hospital philanthropy, covering fundraising campaigns, grateful patient programs, and clinician engagement. John holds degrees in music from the University of Louisville and the University of North Texas, and he earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
John advocates for a strategic and equitable approach to digital health. He consistently encourages organizations to account for the many ways digital inequity presents in their communities and potentially undermines their much-needed digital solutions. His perspective has been featured in The Washington Post, NEJM Catalyst, and the Associated Press.
