Process Involved In Giving a Faculty Webinar Presentation

After you and MCOL have agreed upon participating in a HealthcareWebSummit event, here are some of the steps involved to ensure a successful presentation.

In advance of the event, MCOL will:

  • Work with you in scheduling a date and time for the event.
  • Work with you in developing narrative information describing the event, including your bio and picture, which MCOL will include in the event webpage that will be available for your advance review.
  • Provide you detailed logistical information including when your Microsoft PowerPoint presentation is due, and login and access information for actual presentation.
  • Promote the event, based on the information used in the event webpage, including in MCOL e-mail announcements and newsletters.
  • In most events, ask a few interview questions at the end of your presentation, prior to audience Q&A. MCOL will send these questions to you for advance review and edits.
  • Distribute a pdf of your presentation slides to attendees shortly before the event.

On the day of the event:

  • Your login time will be prior to the event start time, so that staff can ensure your connection is stable, review using the webinar platform and answer any questions.
  • At the start of the ‘live’ webinar, MCOL will run a very brief video going through attendee housekeeping items and introducing you, and then you would begin your presentation.
  • During the presentation you will be able to advance your own slides using the webinar platform.
  • After conclusion of the webinar, MCOL will send an email soliciting feedback from attendees, and providing another opportunity to submit questions to the faculty. Applicable attendee responses will be forwarded to you.
  • MCOL will record your webinar presentation. The webinar video will be made available on-demand to applicable HealthcareWebSummit customers and MCOL’s iHealthFlix subscribers.
